Teassa and Bill's Running Deer Golf Club Wedding

A while back I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Tessa and Bill Schmitt.
Tessa first contacted me for just an engagement photo session. I remember her call as if it were only a month or so ago... I remember I was standing in the parking lot of Disney's Animal Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando Fla. with my family. We talked a little and set up a time to meet once I was back home. When I finally met Tessa and Bill to talk about their photography needs I learned a little bit about them and how they got engaged. I loved their story and after we shot their engagement session at the Adventure Aquarium they decided to book a full wedding package with me. I am so glad they did!

They chose the Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove N.J. for their venue to be wed. Heather McCall is the Director of Catering and Events there and her and the staff were incredible. They really did run around like crazy making last minute changes...the weather was a little uncooperative. I also met Jessica Spina Perez of Your Day Your Way. All I can say is WOW they know hair and make up! I mean ...they did stuff with hair that ...well I'm a guy so let's just say I was amazed. Now if flowers is what you need... can you say BEA-U-TI-FULL!  A Garden Party LLC is the place to go. As you can see by the pictures these flowers were amazing! Lastly, what is a party without a photo booth? I love to bomb the photo booths at weddings. It's always the place were everyone lets their guard down and lets loose a little. Shutter Booth provided all those in attendance a place for doing just that!

The day started out like most days at the end of June here in South Jersey...Hot! The rain was supposed to miss us... it almost did too. All I can say is Tessa and Bill are true sports. About half way through their ceremony the sky let loose. It didn't just drizzle, it poured down rain. Would you believe not a single person got up to run for cover? Everyone sat outside in the rain as they finished up their vows. Nervous smiles and a bit of disbelief showed on their faces but then came laughter. Most would suggest a heavy rain might ruin a wedding. I would say in the case of Tessa and Bill Schmitt it made theirs something even more special. The pictures of them exchanging their wedding vows in the pouring down rain leaves me thinking these two have what it takes to weather all kinds of storms together.
Congratulations to them and may their lives always be filled with smiles in the rain.

 Not necessarily in order....
